Many sightings during the morning drive. The two male lions from Ross pride, herds of impala, two giraffe, kudos, two honey badgers, grey duiker (small antelope), steenbok (dwarf antelope) and warthogs are some of today’s encounters. It is nothing less than amazing! The four cubs are in a new location. I guess they are not quite as well behaved as I thought they were! We found them about a quarter of a mile from yesterdays hiding spot. They were a bit more out in the open. Not a great situation. We are hopeful that the pride will return for them soon.

Hopefully they will be safe until Moms return. |

A mighty yawn from the king. |

Then time for another snooze. |

They were just a wee bit relaxed with us ten feet away. :) |

What was left of a buffalo kill. |

It rained during part of the drive. We put on ponchos and tried to stay dry, but did not really succeed. The weather adds a new dimension to the drive and also to the fun we have as a group.
Breakfast today was stewed fruit over Muesli with yogurt and honey. Excellent! Followed by eggs, bacon and toast.
Dove under the covers to warm up and took a nice nap. Getting up at 5 AM is wearing me out! Awoke at 1 pm, took a hot shower and now I am ready for the afternoon.
Lunch today was sliced beef (steak) with greens, oranges and ruby grapefruit. Alexis and Tricia have decided to stay an extra night. They have been enjoying our gatherings and all the fun.
Photos are amazing! Love those lion paws.
